    • International Symposium Nantes, France, June 8-10, 2016. 
    • The focus of the conference is the material culture of apocalypticism in a variety of religions. The powerful role of myth seems to structure the conception of the end, from ancient religions to modern warnings about impending ecological disaster. The importance of images, objects, temples, and shrines for enhancing the imagination of the end merits careful attention.
